I have spent 5 years as a firearms instructor teaching rifle, pistol, and shotgun techniques in group settings as well as individually. The classes I teach range from basic fundamentals to competition/precision shooting, and defensive shooting to include CFS. My primary focus of firearms instruction lies in the defensive arena, a passion fueled by a longstanding participation in personal protection and self-defense training.
I am certified through the I.C.E. Training Company as a Combat Focus Shooting instructor. I hold certifications to teach Concealed Carry for WI and FL. In the NRA I hold Basic Pistol Instructor and Range Safety Officer certifications.
Additionally, I work on the testing & evaluation of firearms and related equipment, the results of which are published in video and written formats. This also includes instructional material regarding the safe education of self-defense and survival products.
What set Combat Focus Shooting apart from other training programs I have been through was the fact that it answers the “why?” questions. CFS is much more than doing what the instructor says for the simple fact that they said it; there is no “just because” reasoning in the program. The instructors encourage students to challenge the material, and value is placed not only on what you are being taught, but also why.
I firmly believe that Combat Focus Shooting is the most beneficial fundamental defensive shooting program available. Its intuitive foundation is truly cutting edge and I encourage anyone interested in developing their defensive efficiency to participate in this class!
