Why I teach Combat Focus Shooting...
I have always been a person to ask the “why” question ever since I was a child. After going into the military, that simple question got me unfortunately in trouble most of the time. There was no answer to my questions; it was “because that’s the way it’s taught.” Having the opportunity to view a few of Rob’s videos while he was still at Valhalla after leaving the military, it made me want to eventually take a CFS course. Even after taking the course I wanted more, I wanted to spread the word of what Combat Focus Shooting is all about. The simple fact is that this program does answer all of the “why” questions. Its not “because that’s the way its taught” its due to that our training methodology is based on empirical evidence, neurology, kinesiology, psychology and more. We can explain to the students why we implement certain drills. This program can be used in whatever profession in lieu of its consistency, as well as it works well with what the body does naturally under chaotic stress. During a “worst case scenario” you should be able to use the power of recognizing what’s happening in your immediate surroundings and respond as efficiently as possible. The Combat Focus Shooting program overall will help you understand what the human animal does under certain stimuli, and with that knowledge you should be able to respond with as less time, effort and energy as possible to eliminate said threat.
