Tom is the Owner and Lead Instructor of Shoothouse USA, Inc a Reality Based Training Facility and Indoor Pistol Range located in Conway, Arkansas. Tom is certified as a Combat Focus Instructor and an NRA Instructor in Pistol, Personal Protection, Home Firearm Safety, Range Safety Officer, and Refuse To Be A Victim. He is also an Arkansas State Police Firearms Safety Instructor certified to teach Concealed Carry in Arkansas.

After obtaining our Concealed Carry Licenses, my wife and I began looking for a real world, practical training program. We obtained a copy of the Combat Focus Shooting DVD and sought to take the end user course. We took the CFS course at Valhalla Shooting Club in 2007 and were forever changed. In that one weekend of exposure to Combat Focus Shooting we were ingrained with the skills that have remained with us still today. That experience set in motion our vision for our future. After nearly 30 years in management of a Fortune 250 corporation, I had the opportunity to embark on my own to do what I love most... teaching people life saving skills that are easy to learn, easy to retain, and work with natural body reactions and movements. I sought to be an Instructor of what is arguably the most science backed program using intuitive responses and leveraging instinctive reactions to defend oneself and those around them. Equally important in my decision to adopt and instruct the Combat Focus Shooting program was the underlying doctrines and philosophies of the team of professionals that support each other and the program. The program’s integrity to adapt and evolve as new information becomes available sets it apart from any other. Being a part of a program like Combat Focus Shooting allows me to Instruct with honor and a belief in the system, it’s leadership and support team, and the knowledge and satisfaction that others lives may forever be positively impacted by the skills I am able to teach. It is this belief that caused me to invest substantial resources in obtaining Instructor status and the privilege of teaching Combat Focus Shooting.
